1602 Illegal Gambling
The Republic Act (RA) 9287 is an amendment act to Presidential Decree (PD) 1602 which imposes penalties for individuals taking part in illegal gambling activities. Relative to the NO TAKE POLICY on illegal Gambling, personnel of Limay MPS led by PLT SEDLEY T CUENCO under the direct supervision of PMAJ RANDY P APOLONIO, conducted anti-illegal gambling operation (Cock fighting) in Purok 4, Saint Francis 2, Limay, Bataan that resulted to the arrest of the suspects,72 years of age, married, jobless and a resident of Lower Tundol, Reformista, Limay, Bataan and 28 years of age, with live-in partner, fisherman and a resident of Purok 4, Saint Francis 2, Limay, Bataan while actually engaging in a game of change a Cock fighting. However, the other co-players upon sensing the presence of the operatives they scampered away in different direction and eluded arrest. Confiscated from the possession of the suspects were; One fighting Cock with gaff and other paraphernalia’s used in putting gaff in the fighting Cock.
A case for Violation PD 1602 as amended by RA 9287 and RA 11332 is being readied against the suspect.
PMAJ RANDY P APOLONIO said that the unit will continue to work and intensify all anti-criminality campaign despite the COVID-19 situation and continue to eradicate all forms of illegal activities within the municipality.
